How the brainwashed respond to believers

by

Dean Gotcher
"... they will ignore him [the believer] rather than invest the necessary time to understand his interventions [his continual turning to the Word of God rather than to his own feelings and thoughts and the groups feelings and thoughts (men's opinions) for answers]."

"It is important that the therapist [the leadership of the church] attempt to screen out patients [members of the church] who will become marked deviants [fundamentalists who are barriers to 'change,' i.e. members who are always turning to the scripture for answers rather than to their own feelings and thoughts and the feelings and thoughts (the opinions) of others for answers], deviants because of their interpersonal behavior [asking questions regarding the direction the church is going, questioning the leaderships course of action (praxis), their moving away from the authority of God's word and turning instead to the opinions of men to determine how the church is to "do business," i.e. "grow itself," i.e. "make customers"] in the group sessions [in the so called bible studies, which are actually the admiration of men's opinions or theories being put into practice or social action] and not because of a deviant life style or past history [how a persons unrighteous thoughts and actions, i.e. sins, are not pleasing to God and will be judged by Him, engendering conviction, contrition, and repentance before God (which the dialoguing of opinions, how people feel or what they think, does not engender)]." "There is no type of past behavior too deviant [immoral] for a group to accept once therapeutic group norms [dialoguing men's opinions instead of judging thoughts and actions according to doctrine, i.e. instead of preaching and teaching the scriptures "as given"] are established." "the deviant [the believer] … correlates very highly with negative outcome [obedience to God and His Word without question interfering with "human relationships building" and "church growth," causing division, i.e. "driving" people out of the "church"]: a member deemed by the others … to be ‘out' of the group [causing dissention and division, not participating in the dialoguing of opinions] has virtually no chance of benefiting from the group and a strong chance of suffering harm [being rejected by men, having emotional problems, i.e. becoming depressed]." "The successful leader … reinforces each member's activity … escort the deviant back into the group, and he discourages the development of scapegoating [blaming leadership for turning the fellowship away from the traditions (doctrines) of the past] and judgmentalism [condemnation them for sinning against God and His Word, corrupting the Word of God with men's opinions, leading the fellowship astray and scattering the sheep]." "One of the most difficult patients for me to work with in groups [in the church] is the individual who employs fundamentalist religious views [the Word of God says] in the service of denial [refusing to be a part of the group because of the pre-set ways people should think and act, i.e. denying themselves and others of that which is desired and natural, i.e. receiving the approval and affirmation by the "church" for their approval and affirmation of the 'change' process being used in the "church"]." "Communication toward a deviant  [a believer] is very great initially and then drops off sharply as the group [the fellowship] rejects the deviant [the believer].  Eventually, the group [the "church"] will extrude the deviant [no longer fellowship with the believer, excommunicate him without writ].  They may smile at one another when he speaks or behaves irrelevantly; they will mascot him, they will ignore him rather than invest the necessary time [humble themselves before God, study the scriptures and seek the Lord in regards to what he is warning them about] to understand his interventions [his continual turning to the Word of God rather than to his own feelings and thoughts, the groups feelings and thoughts, the leaderships feelings and thoughts, and other men's ("experts" in "church growth") feelings and thoughts, i.e. the opinions of men, for answers]."  "Members [those in the "church"] must develop a feeling of mutual trust and respect and must come to value the group [the "mother church"] as an important means of meeting their personal needs."  (Irvin Yalom,  Theory and Practice and Group Psychotherapy)  Using the phrase "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together" to pressure believers into 'justifying' the practice of "humanism" (the embracing of and the praxis of men's wisdom in the "work of the Lord," which is abomination) in the "church" (even doing it in the name of the Lord) and labeling the believer as being "divisive," as causing dissention (even calling believers brainwashed) when the refuse to participate in the process of 'change' (when they instead keep turning to the scriptures for answers), those of the "church" justify themselves before men (even using scriptures which are not scriptures to confuse and silent believers of the Word and those who, becoming as believers, might turn to the Word of God itself for answers).

". . . liberals tend to view social problems as symptoms of the underlying social structure [Patriarchal, where the Father (law, doctrine) rules, Matriarchal where the women (feelings, relationships) rule, and Heresiarchal where the children (impulses and spontaneity) rule], while conservatives view them as results of individual incompetence or immorality. In short, political problems tend to be seen in moral rather than sociological terms." (Theodor Adorno, The Authoritarian Personality)

"Do not expect Moses' presentation of the Ten Commandments or John the Baptist's call to repentance to be included among those management skills. Instead, you will find polls, tracking surveys, and management skills aimed at producing satisfied customers who keep returning for more of the product offered by the business. In other words, give the customer what pleases them." "It is not standards or doctrines that count. Instead, use relationships to bring everyone in the church into conformity with what is believed and done in the local church: 'God says relationships are what life is all about.'" (Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life, p. 125)

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."  Hebrews 10:23-25.  We are to exhorting one another (as individuals) in the Word of the Lord, which is sharper than any two edged sword (sufficient in and of itself to convert the soul) and not according to the "wisdom" (opinions) of men, according to how man feels, thinks, and acts (according to his social "felt" needs).  "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting [satiation, consumption to carnal satisfaction, being at peace with, at-one-with, having consensus with, etc. the things of this life], and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Luke 21:33-36  Those of the process of 'change' use (cut, rearrange, and paste as well as add to and take away from) the scriptures to 'justify' their praxis (attempting to respond to and resolve the social issues, crisis of the day).  They embellish it with the wisdom and the praxis of men, corrupting it, making it no longer the Word of the Lord but the words of men (making sin the alienation of man from man, based upon his sensuousness, where man's will directs his steps, rather than the alienation of man from God, based upon His righteousness, where the will of God is to direct man's steps)..  If I take your will and change words in it to satisfy men, it is no longer your will but the will of men.  Believers do no follow after the words of men even those who claim to be proclaiming the Word of God.  They know the voice of the Lord and follow after the Word of God instead of the words of men. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."  John 10:27, 28

"And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16: 15

"Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished." Proverbs 16:5

"Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies." Psalms 40:4

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."  Matthew 6:24

"Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"  Galatians 3:3

2 Peter 2:18-22

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

1 Thessalonians 2:3-12

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

1 Timothy 3:1-17

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.  But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.  But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,  Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 2:1-9

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;  And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

2 Peter 2:10-17

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:  But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.  Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.  But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;  And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;  Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:  Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;  But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.  These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men. 1 Corinthians 3:18-21

Ezekiel 34:1-22

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
    My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them. Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.  Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad; Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine."
